ONE VOICE for Southeastern NH invites the community to attend a special presentation on bullying and suicide prevention from John Halligan. The event takes place on Wednesday, January 25th at 7:00pm in the Dover, NH High School Auditorium.
John Halligan will relay his own tragic experience as a Dad whose 13-year-old son took his own life in 2003 after experiencing a prolonged period of online and face-to-face bullying by peers. He will discuss how to recognize, address and seek assistance for the targets of bullying to reduce the likelihood of such an event occurring in our community. The presentation is designed for an adult audience, especially for parents of middle and high school students. Middle school and high school students may also attend but this presentation may be deemed inappropriate for younger children.
This presentation is made possible for the community by the United Way of the Greater Seacoast's Youth Investment Fund. Contact Helen Long for details, 603-436-5554. For more information about John Halligan and his son Ryan’s story visit http://www.ryanhalligan.com/. For more information about the event contact: Melissa Silvey, 603.516.2526, info@onevoicenh.org
