Event Description

Explore prenatal and infant brain development (up to 3 years of age) and discuss matters that effect brain development, including toxic stress, windows of opportunities and early experiences at a special introductory workshop.

The discussion will also include the cause of brain damage that occurs when there is trauma and what you can do to stimulate rain development as well as protect developing brains from trauma.

The workshop is offered by the Family Resource Center of Greater Nashua. Cost is $20 per participant when paid in advance and $25 at the door on the evening of the workshop.

Registration begins at 6:30 p.m.; the workshop begins at 7 p.m. Attendance at the workshop qualifies participants for a certificate valid for two hours of professional development.

The workshop will be presented by JoAnn Cobb, LICSW, program director of Early Childhood and Family Support at Child and Family Services. She has 25 years’ experience in the field of infant mental health, family support and home visiting. She is the President of the NH Association of Infant Mental Health and serves on the Spark NH Early Childhood Council. She is a member of the Family Resource Center of Greater Nashua’s Leadership Team.

Pre-registration for the workshop is required.
