Permalink Reply by Kuerstin Fordham-Macedo on July 7, 2009 at 9:25am Please look at the website below before deciding against vaccines. It is a mayo clinic website therefore very reputable. I feel very strongly about vaccines and the myths. I am the daughter of a very reputable Pediatrician in Massachusetts.

Permalink Reply by Jennifer Copp on July 7, 2009 at 6:26pm I respect your opinion, the point of the information that I had supplied was not to cause a moral conversation. I do not believe that it is the medical professional who causes any possible problems I believe that if there is a problem with a vaccine it is the vaccine. I agree that vaccines served their purpose when they were necassary. I have three children all have had vaccinations all three have had adverse reactions to the vaccinations, and two of my children have had the chicken pox as well as whooping cough. I feel that making an educated choice is always the best route to take.

Permalink Reply by Angela F on July 13, 2009 at 6:54pm I agree that vaccinations are necessary, at least for MY child, but I am a friend of someone who opted not to vaccinate her son for many of the vaccinations his doctor recommended. My pedi stated when I asked whether I should vaccinate or not, "just imagine the possibility of one of the diseases taking over your child... what could happen if you DID not vaccinate him." That is when I researched more and came to the conclusion that we WOULD vaccinte... just when they called for three or four at a time, we split them up to one or two every couple weeks, so his little bosy wasn't overwhelmed with the different vaccinations at once. That is what I recommend, but remember, YOU are the best advocate for your children!! :-)
