Events, features and things to do for families in New Hampshire
(Dover, NH / September 12, 2012) -- The Children's Museum of New Hampshire will celebrate its 29th birthday on Sunday, September 23 with an afternoon of activities and entertainment from 12-5 pm, generously sponsored by Bank of New Hampshire.
The Children's Museum Annual Birthday Celebration will include traditional refreshments for all: ice cream donated by River Bend Pizza and Subs and birthday cake donated by Duston's Bakery and Deli. There will also be face painting and party games to play, and each young guest can decorate their own gold birthday crown to wear and take home.
At 12:30 pm and 2 pm, magician B.J. Hickman will entertain birthday party guests with comedy magic, dazzling deceptions and mind-reading miracles. Hickman’s shows feature audience participation throughout and are family favorites throughout New England. He recently returned from performing seven nights at the famous Magic Castle in Hollywood and various venues in Burbank and Beverly Hills. He also speaks nationally with his “PediaTRICKS.com” presentation and performs in schools with programs on reading, recycling, and conflict resolution. B.J. has also written a book titled, Magic Speaks Louder than Words.
All birthday celebration festivities are included in the regular price of admission: $9 for children and adults, $8 for seniors, and free for museum members and children under age one. Directions and other information may be found at www.childrens-museum.org.
The Children's Museum was founded in 1983 in Portsmouth and moved to its current larger location in Dover in July 2008.
