Recognize someone who has promoted parent involvement in education

Do you know of a parent, educator, volunteer, parent-teacher group, or community organization that has made an extraordinary contribution to promoting parent involvement in education? You can help them get the recognition they deserve while advancing the cause of strong family-school partnerships in New Hampshire!

As you may know, Governor Lynch has named October as Parent Involvement in Education Month to promote family engagement in education, both at school and at home.  To support this, the Parent Information Center of NH  hosts the Parent Involvement in Education Recognition Celebration.  This year's celebration will take place on Oct. 1  in Concord.

PIC is looking to recognize those who have had a significant, positive impact on parent involvement in education during the 2011-2012 school year. Criteria includes having displayed creativity, innovation, and/or commitment at the community, school, district, or state level in one or more of the NH Standards for Family-School-Community Partnerships.  For more information and to nominate someone, just complete the online Nomination Form no later than Sept. 10.

Recipients will be celebrated at the NH Parent Involvement Recognition Celebration on October 1st. Further details about the event will be posted on www.picnh.org and www.NHParentsMakeTheDifference.org.
